Snug as a bug!

Another case of getting spoiled by the grandparents already. Nanna (Leon’s Mum) bought this beautiful warm jumper for Baby Wregg while on a recent holiday in Tasmania. It has a detailed little winter scene all over it.

Very Cute!

Oscars Motherly instincts

Oscar is a little jealous of all the presents that Baby Wregg is receiving. He has taken a particular shine to the set of gorgeous hand puppets that Linda could not resist buying for Baby Wregg. Oscar seems to have gotten in touch with his motherly instincts in this photo!

Poor neglected Oscar.

Tap Tap Tap

Is someone knocking on the inside of my belly?? I have felt the occasional tapping from the inside down in from my hip bones. I have been thinking it may be the baby, I am now sure! I found out today during the scan that the placenta is actually positioned at the front between my belly skin and the baby. This is very normal and is actually good protection. It will move in the next few weeks as Baby Wregg gets bigger and pushes it out the way. Anyway with the placenta protecting the baby, I am unable to feel it moving around as much. I will have to wait a few more weeks for some really good kicks!

Out of interest Baby Wregg is now 20cm long from head to toe, 11cm is legs! The doctor said this was very normal considering the size of the parents!!! I may be having a tall baby!

It's a Boy.....or maybe a Girl!!!

Well, we had our 19 week scan today. I was not to nervous as I had heard Baby Wregg's heart beat only 7 days before. The scan went really well. Baby Wregg is doing fine, has all the right bits in the right places. The scan took around 1.5 hours as our wonderful baby was being very camera shy. I was actually jumping around the office trying to get the baby to turn so we could see the face. No luck :-( So I have no cute pictures to post for you.

Did we find our the gender??? No, sorry to all those that want to know, Leon and I decided to keep it a surprise for everyone. Leon was a little miffed that the lady doing the scan and the doctor know the gender of our baby and we, the parents, don't! As today was our last scan, we are all going to HAVE to wait now until the birth...sorry Leon!

Birthday celebrations

Happy Birthday to Leon and I!!!

Leon took me to a Teppanyaki Bar over the weekend to celebrate our birthdays. It was a fun night! Plenty of food was thrown at us with some of it even making it into out mouths!

Leon is making good use of having a permanent designated driver with him and had many shots of saki. Our last birthday celebration with out kids!

Pop!

So they say one day you will wake up and you will have popped! What is a pop I hear you ask. It means that rather then just looking like you have put on some weight, your belly pops out. I can still get away with hiding the fact that we have precious cargo on board, however for those that know me....I guess the time has come that I am well...obviously pregnant!

I went to another OB appointment on Friday and made a quick trip into the very conveniently located maternity wear store right outside the building. $300 later (sorry Leon) I now have plenty of clothes to cover up the ever growing bump!

The OB appointment went well. I was sooooo relieved to hear the baby heartbeat again. I have put to rest the worry that something had gone wrong and the baby had magically disappeared! We have our 19 week scans to look forward to this coming Friday!! So stay tuned for new photos and movies!

Nandi

I can hear you asking 'what is a Nandi??' Well it is short for Nanna Di or maybe Nanna Dickson. As Craig and I already have a Nanna Dickson (our Dads Mum) we have decided to try out Nandi for our Mum and see if the name sticks. Well Nandi has gone from having no grandchildren to having 1 and a bit. The presents for baby Callum in the USA are plentiful from Nandi. I have been waiting to see how long it would be beofre Nandi could not wait any longer to spoil her newest grandbaby.

So Baby Wregg has been given a cute little cotton jumpsuit and siglet top. Nandi also sent a baby book for Leon and I to record all significant moments in. And yes the giraffe is also from Nandi!
