Alison meets Great Nanna Sandery
Callums 1st Birthday - At the Horse
Callums 1st Birthday

Family portraits on the little horse
After a nice lunch and shopping spree in the toy store we wondered through the wild life area. It was peacock breeding season...at least three male peacocks were showing off their beautiful feathers to us chicks!

We started the day with a nice drive through the Adelaide hills to the big Rocking Horse at Gumeracha. The photos below are of a little rocking horse....the big one was HUGE! The best part of a visit there is the toy factory. The toys are all wooden and hand crafted in the workshops there. As it was his actual birthday, you can just imagine how many toys Craig and Jen are sending back to the USA for Callum. Callum's every desire was met by his Mum and Dad, Aunty and Uncle and Nandi.
Alison did not stroll away empty handed. We bought her some fun alphabet learning toys and a lovely butterfly mobile. Nandi also bought her some fun wooden musical instruments for a future present.

Alison visits Adelaide for the first time
The kids eye each other off
Our flight to Adelaide was booked for 6:15 in the morning of the 25th. This meant a 3am start to the day and Leon and I making as much noise around the house to wake the baby....very strange concept. The thought behind this madness was that Alison might still be in sleepy night mode at this time of the morning and may not play up to much on the flight. Well it work, Alison was perfect for the whole flight. She breezed through check in and security check and slept the whole flight, only waking up for a feed. Leon and I had managed our first flight with a baby.
Our first engagement was meeting Uncle Craig (My Brother, visiting from USA), his wife Jennifer and their baby boy Callum. Below are the photos from our lovely brunch we had by the Great Southern Ocean.

Alison has the same dimples as her Mother! This would be the cutest smile picture we have captured so far. Seems ever time she sees the camera she is distracted from whatever was making her smile. hmmmRachel will be out of Australia for 4 months for work. Rachel and Aaron had us over on the weekend for some farewell drinks. They also invited Lorelle her husband Chris and baby Flynn. Flynn was born at the same hospital as Ali. Actually born in the same delivery suite after Ali and stayed in the room next door with shared bathroom! Very trippy since we were all part of the same friendship circles and I worked with Chris prior to our deliveries!
